Getting Started Programming Microcontrollers
Posted by Administrator on 1/1/2012
Programming PICs in BASIC by Chuck Hellebuyck is a great book for someone just getting started with programming microcontrollers.
The book uses the PICBASIC Pro compiler sample version and the small but powerful 8 pin PIC12F683 microcontroller.
The projects in the book are easy to reproduce with full schematic and pictures of how to build them with our 8pin Chipaxe module.
CHIPINO Module

We've added the new CHIPINO Modules that allow you to program the Microchip PIC16F886 or any 28 pin PIC Microcontroller with ease. The CHIPINO modules are pin compatible with the Arduino modules so they can use the same shields.
CHIPINO can be programmed in any language that supports Microchip PIC which includes C language, Basic language and Assembly language compiler. Many of them are free to download.
We also now carry the books of Chuck Hellebuyck who teaches you not only how to use Microchip PICs but also teaches you the C language through his Beginner's Guide to Embedded C Programming series.
